Out of the Dark

The Earth's ecosystem has been exploited by humans to such an extent than no corner of the world is left unaffected. There is a sadness, a grief in this knowledge - that there is nowhere left to escape, explore, no where human activity has not yet extended its reach. Any wilderness left is fenced in, managed, controlled. Despite us being inextricably linked and dependent on the non-human world, we see ourselves as superior and autonomous. This project explores the textures of grief and anxiety felt within this time of human pervasiveness.
